Challenge #3 - Inspired by Puzzles

Summertime is a great time to pull out a puzzle.  We always seem to have one going over the summer months.  It's fun to sit for a long time and work on it or just when you have a few moments.

Luckily, I had a similar piece of crossword puzzle paper as seen in the inspiration kit so I definitely added it.

It was no puzzle at all to decide which story I wanted to tell for this challenge.  My husband is the ultimate problem solver.  He is one of those people that calls challenges "opportunities" and not obstacles.  He's a "glass is half full" kind of guy and I love him for that.  It balances out my "glass is half empty and there's a slow leak" attitude sometimes!  LOL!  I'm working on it and he helps me with that.  Just like I also help him get his head out of the clouds!

Anyway, here's the layout...

It was a light bulb moment for me when I realized "problem solved" would fit into the spaces!
Love when it works out like that!

Hope you are inspired to share a puzzle related layout with us!

Sending Scrappiness,

Lynnette

  2. Love the warm, masculine color scheme & the sweet tribute to your DH. Glad the puzzle words dropped right in - so creative!

  3. Very clever and creative touches! I think those characteristics must be an "engineer thing" as my husband is pretty much the same way.

  4. We truly are soulmates! Your "glass is half empty and there's a slow leak" quote is me - the extension to the idea is what I've been searching for! I literally laughed out loud. I think the problem solving engineer is also something we have in common as well as fulfilling our dreams. It's coming up to a year since you were over here and I miss you!

  5. I am so glad I caught this one. Oh what a fun post. Funny...I would never guess you could be "half empty". Your journaling never sounds that way...or our Facebook posts. That is why I love this art. LOOK at how we evolve through it. I adore you. Sassy, sweet, perfectly matched with your DH and complete. <3
