Counterfeit Kit Challenge August Reveal and Blog Hop

Are you ready to go on a Scrapbooking Adventure?  Ready or we go!

This month's inspiration at Counterfeit Kit Challenge is brought to you by Scrappy Canary.  An uncomplicated kit, "Globe-Trotter" offers some fun patterns and a nod to travel with a super cute die cute pack.  I chuckled when I saw the inspiration and its name as I am about to
embark on a European adventure.
Travel has definitely been on my mind!

Let's get through airport security quickly so we can enjoy my August Kit.
(And don't have to take off your shoes!)

"Jet Setter" is also a streamlined kit that mimics the color palette in the inspiration with just a hint of international flair.  Who wants to take the chance of losing a checked bag or waiting around at the baggage carousel?  This jet setting sassy scrapper is just taking her carry-on!  Here's my travel outfit for my 9 hour journey.

Grey, teal and navy come together in an unexpected twist.  It's a great combination for my papers this month, too.

During the first leg of my trip, I will spend 3 magical days with fellow Master Forger, Lisa.  She will be graciously hosting me in her adopted homeland of Germany.  I will be leaving 4:30 PM my time and arriving 6:00 AM in Dusseldorf.  It's kind of important that I get some sleep on the plane as Lisa has lots planned for us to do as soon as I step off the plane.  Hoping that travel pillow helps me catch some Zzzzz's.  In the meantime, it holds those sweet October Afternoon cards with a global vibe.

The papers will be my passport to scrappy fun.  I used navy, teal, grey, yellow/orange and wood tones as my inspiration.  Coincidentally, this is also my color scheme for the wardrobe I packed.
Just like my kits, almost all of my wardrobe pieces mix and match in one way or another making for smart packing.  I feel like the paper counterfeiting process has been an eye opener for my closet, pulling out older things from my wardrobe "stash" and mixing them with newer finds.

Some cork elements, globe veneers and a washi camera will create plenty of travel or non-travel related layouts.  After Germany, I will meet my hubby in Poland, the land of my heritage.  Here's another outfit from my bag that seems to go along with my kit.  Somehow a peasant shirt seemed like a must-pack item to Eastern Europe and the pattern reminds me of the navy paisley in my kit.

Even some cork on the soles of my sandals...just like the cork letters and shapes in the kit.

Not sure where Lisa will be taking me, but I have my Euro ready for a night on the town.  Here's my "dress-up" outfit that is perfectly packable.  The zipper actually goes in the back, but I thought the exposed look was so fun that I had to show you.  Just like in scrapbooking, I love the little details!

They're starting to board my plane, so I'll have to run.  Go ahead and start gathering your things.  Whether you "overpack" or go "mean and lean",
be sure to take along the things you love for your scrappy journey.

Before they close the cabin door, let me just remind you about our design team call.  If you love the counterfeiting process, you should try out for our team.  Find out all the details HERE.

And don't forget to jet set over to each and every Master Forger to see her take on the Scrappy Canary kit.  No passport needed to visit their blogs and gather inspiration from all around the world - USA, Australia, UK, Canada and Germany!  It's a small world after all!
