CKC Challenge #2 - Using a Sketch

While I didn't make the deadline for Challenge #2 to add to the CKC post, I am determined to complete all of the challenges one way or the other this month.  The sketch from October Afternoon appealed to my scrappy design sense and made the process pretty easy.  Here's the sketch:

And here's my layout using it and my "Red Geranium" August Kit.

Our weather this summer has been stellar, so having this outdoor space has been a real treat.

Thanks for taking a peek!

  1. Aaah! Refreshing just to look at your page, much less enjoy the deck!
Perfect Mason jar drink embelli, and I love how the ruffles evoke the awning.
The straw popping up the brushstroke sentiment? Totally off the charts creative cuteness!

  2. Nice! I like the way the red and the black play off that yellow. Super cute embellishing.

  3. I love this! From the jar at the top to the ruffles at the bottom, it all looks super.

  4. What a fun layout and just love the journaling block you did with that corner, good job with that sketch too

  5. Great layout, love the mason jar.

  6. we love sitting outside for dinner, playing backgammon or just enjoying a beer. hoping that we enjoy it just as much in our new place. of course, this is a great page and the detail photos really bring your alfresco evenings to life!

  7. Love seeing your take on the sketch, different use for the ruffle paper, but so lovely!
