CKC Challenge #1 - Inspired by a Blog Design

Our first challenge over at Counterfeit Kit was to be inspired by one of the Master Forgers' blogs.  I actually fell in love with our guest designer Maggie's blog.  Her butterfly and banner have a fresh and fun look that says spring.  Check out her blog here.

Here is how I translated it to my layout:

And here are some close-ups:

I used my April Counterfeit Kit, "Breakfast in Bed" which just happens to be the same color palette as Maggie's header AND I had several butterflies in my embellishment tray.  PERFECT!

Thanks for the inspiration, Maggie!

Remember you can join in all of our challenges and participate in our month end blog hop.  Find out more over at the CKC blog here.

  2. You made such a pretty layout here and the journalling is so sweet! That yellow background paper is gorgeous - will have to go back to your kit reveal and see if I can work out what it was. And again, really love the new look of your blog!

  3. Love the "flutter" banner! That denim blue floral paper is one of my faves. Cool that you have the other style of banner. I love how you have designed this so well as to appear that it is up in the air! Just lovely... :~)

  4. Wow! I'm thrilled that you chose my blog header as inspiration for this challenge, and may I say you are very welcome!
It's a wonderful LO, love the (mis)quote from Field of Dreams, one of my all time favourite movies and not just because of K Costner Esq.
I'll be playing along with this challenge for sure.
